This textured fabric has a soft, sheer base with a thin velvety stripe that runs throughout.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg MSI™ tools, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average.

Wrap yourself in our Joren Cardigan for the ultimate cosy winter look. This classic, Grandpa-style cardigan is made from a lofty, soft yarn knitted into a lightweight, chunky design with dropped shoulders and relaxed sleeves for a cosy, laid-back fit in a range of beautiful colours. An ideal piece for layering, we recommend styling over an everyday T-shirt or with a pair of wide-leg jeans for a warm and relaxed outfit.
MATERIAL
40% Nylon, 30% Merino Wool & 30% Alpaca
This knitted blend has temperature regulating qualities, with wool retaining warmth when needed, while remaining cool and breathable on the body. Alpaca creates a fluffy finish for that cosy, comfortable feel. The nylon allows for a strong, durable finish that will keep your knitwear lasting longer.
Alpaca is generally farmed using lower impact traditional methods. Their soft hooves reduce the amount of soil erosion caused by alpaca farming, allowing for minimal damage to the land used for farming.
The merino wool in this blend is sourced from Australian non-mulesed sheep, and our alpaca wool is sourced from farms in the Peruvian highlands.
Wool and alpaca fibres are natural, renewable and biodegradable.
MAKER
These knits were made by Hop Hing Woollen Sweaters Factory who we have been working with since 2007. They are a family-owned business established by the late Mr Tsui Senior in 1962. Now owned and managed by his son Jeff, they have their head office, development team and sampling in Hong Kong and their main manufacturing in Dongguan, China. We visit Hop Hing at least once a year and have a great, long-term working relationship with them. We are actively working to source the most sustainable yarns with them through Novetex and UPW. Jeff's team is highly experienced, and their operation has full, onsite capabilities including washing and finishing.
SIZE & FIT
Elk have designed this cardigan as a cosy, loose-knit perfect for shrugging into cooler weather with a slightly cropped silhouette. If you prefer a neater fit, you could choose to go down a size.

Cow Nappa Leather
Leather is a natural, renewable material made from animal hides that have been preserved and softened through a tanning process. We select our leathers based on their properties and the intended application. Leather lasts a long time, ages well and is easy to care for and repair. Unlike many synthetic materials, leather develops patina over time and gets better with age. Buying a well-made leather product can be considered an investment and supports the slow fashion ethos of “buying less, buying better”. Leather can be recycled or upcycled, and once it reaches the end of its lifecycle it is biodegradable.
Chromium VI is not used in any tanning processes for our leathers.
BN have been a long-term supplier of ELK starting with a small collection in 2013. They are now one of our main suppliers of leather goods. All leathers are sourced from LWG tanneries which is an association that sets high industry standards and audits tanneries for environmental performance. Additionally, all products are passed by REACH standard regulations, meaning they are made with restricted levels of specific chemical substances in their goods.
They are a family business with all members of the immediate and extended family playing key roles. We visit BN at least twice a year and we have ELK agents on the ground working with them on transparency, quality and operational standards.
Size
31.5 cm H x 45 cm W x 9 cm D
Care Instructions
To maintain the beauty of your ELK bag we recommend protective sprays and using a good quality leather conditioner to treat the product, which will increase its longevity. Achieve the perfect balance of striking style and everyday comfort with our Dahme Pant. Crafted from a heavier weight French linen for cooler weather, the flattering silhouette drapes comfortably across many different body types, with a slightly cropped length and flat front, as well as functional side pockets. For a truly bold look, pair with the matching Dahme Jacket, or for an edgy, everyday look consider styling with a neutral T-shirt or fitted top and finish with a sneaker.
Material
100% French Linen
This garment has been made from 100% French Linen; natural fibre from flax grown in the light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear. Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides, or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibers, such as conventionally grown cotton.
Maker
This garment was designed by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making woven and knitted apparel. He has a team of 80 plus workers, the majority of which are women. The factory is signed up to Sedex and undertakes regular SMETA audits. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements and operate an ethical and sustainable business. We visit Jimmy at least twice a year and he visits our team in Melbourne annually.
Size and Fit
These pants have a great, wide-leg fit with a neater fitting waist featuring a flat front and elastic at the back for comfort, while the cuffless legs allow for easy alteration if required. We recommend taking your usual size to ensure they can pull easily over the hips, which you can then adjust using the internal waist tie.

It's a unique fabric as it is hypoallergenic, anti-static, stretch-resistant, incredibly durable and dries quickly. This material is also one of the most sustainable choices with the lowest impacts as it is produced in a 'closed loop' which means the chemicals used can be extracted after production and the water can be reused.

They have been making garments for us since 2016 and we visit the operation at least twice a year.
