Make a choice to invest In You Time
I’m not usually a betting person, but I’d safely wager that you’ve often found yourself thinking or saying a variation of the following.
"There aren't enough hours in the day.”
"I don’t have time for that."
"I wish I had more time for myself."
We live in a society that is prone to moving through life at 100 miles per hour. Our to-do lists keep growing by the minute and as a result we often find it difficult to make ourselves a priority.
I think it’s high time we cut ourselves some slack because everyone deserves to invest time in what makes them happy.
Start thinking about what type of activities bring you joy. What is important to you? What do you do to relax? Remember this list should be whatever you want it to be, not what you think it should be.
Personally, I love nothing more than reading and writing so I tend to focus my leisure time on these hobbies. Your choices may be very different to mine, but that's the beauty of “you time.”
When you give yourself a guilt-free “time out” you'll notice your energy levels increase and you will feel rejuvenated, relaxed and recharged. Taking some "you time" will also leave you more open to opportunities and better facilitated to manage stress and cope with change.
So, make a choice to invest time in yourself at the end of each day.
