100% Organic cotton
This garment contains certified organic cotton. The cotton is grown using methods that lessen the impact on our environment, replenish and maintain soil fertility, decrease water usage and build biologically diverse agriculture. Crops are not treated with pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides, and are not genetically modified.

These shoes have been handmade in Agra, India by family owned and operated factory Gupta Overseas Pty Ltd. They have been in business for over 60 years and specialise in making shoes for the European market. We visit the factory two to three times a year to see our products being made, assess working conditions, source materials and learn new techniques.
Each design is tested at ELK HQ where the shoes are worn for a period to consider comfort, wear and style. The leather upper is made using REACH standards, a European Union regulation (1907/2006/EC) restricting the levels of specific chemical substances in goods. It is a bi product from the meat industry.
Gupta run an in-house training institute with the sole objective to train rural, underprivileged youths, particularly those who live below the poverty line to enhance their employability.
"These prospective candidates are mobilised by us. The company also arranges their accommodation and food and pay them a monthly stipend. The entire expenses of the training institute are born by us. It is so we who give back to the community and these people can then have skills to get work in the future." - Mr Chetan Gupta, Director
Upper: Cow Leather
Lining: Sheep Leather
These leather boots should be cleaned and conditioned with a neutral cream polish. Apply with a soft cloth and rub into dry or scuffed areas. Leather is a natural material and will age with wear. It is imperative that you avoid wetting or soaking these shoes in water as this will greatly affect the quality and appearance.
Achieve the perfect balance of striking style and everyday comfort with our Dahme Pant. Crafted from a heavier weight French linen for cooler weather, the flattering silhouette drapes comfortably across many different body types, with a slightly cropped length and flat front, as well as functional side pockets. For a truly bold look, pair with the matching Dahme Jacket, or for an edgy, everyday look consider styling with a neutral T-shirt or fitted top and finish with a sneaker.
100% French Linen
This garment has been made from 100% French Linen; natural fibre from flax grown in the light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear. Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides, or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibers, such as conventionally grown cotton.
This garment was designed by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making woven and knitted apparel. Size and Fit
These pants have a great, wide-leg fit with a neater fitting waist featuring a flat front and elastic at the back for comfort, while the cuffless legs allow for easy alteration if required. We recommend taking your usual size to ensure they can pull easily over the hips, which you can then adjust using the internal waist tie.
Made in sustainable Cupro these pants have a beautiful, slightly dappled texture. Based on one of our best-selling styles, this pull-on style has a drawstring at the front and elasticated back for a comfortable and adjustable fit. With a draping wide-leg they are the perfect pants for traveling and warmer weather.
100% Cupro - Elk preferred fibre
Made from a cellulose fibre, Cupro is a breathable, fine material that is soft to touch and beautiful to wear and has a similar feel to silk. It's a unique fabric as it is hypoallergenic, anti-static, stretch-resistant, incredibly durable and dries quickly. This material is also one of the most sustainable choices with the lowest impacts as it is produced in a 'closed loop' which means the chemicals used can be extracted after production and the water can be reused.
These garments were made by Fluid Connection who were established in 2006 and are located in Hangzhou, China. They have been making garments for us since 2016 and we visit the operation at least twice a year. The factory that we make our products in is a relatively small operation but quite modern with automated systems for efficiencies and quality. They are members of Sedex and we chose to operate with them not only for their skills but as they are located close to out fabric and trims suppliers, this reduces transportation impacts and shares other third party suppliers such as dye and print houses. They are actively working with us on ways to improve the sustainable profiles of our product through alternative packaging methods and improved trims.
Cupro has unique properties that require particular care. It is much like silk and you should avoid contact with oils and oil based liquids as some marks may be permanent.
