80% Viscose & 20% Nylon
This luxurious velvet has a slight sheen and is soft to the touch. The lighter weight allows this fabric to drape around the body, offering an added level of comfort.
Viscose is made from cellulose from timber that has been processed and spun into fine fibres. We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry. The Viscose fibres in this garment are from producers with a green shirt ranking according to the most current Canopy Style Hot Button Report. These producers are considered low risk or have taken substantive action to eliminate risk of sourcing from ancient and endangered forests.
These garments were made by a highly specialised manufacturer in China called Wellsilk International who were established in 2004. With an inspiring founder and manager Mrs Ellen Miao at the helm, Wellsilk is one of the most progressive factories actively involved in assisting us with our sustainability journey. They are a mid-sized operation and make our more tailored items and pieces that need special details.
Achieve the perfect balance of striking style and everyday comfort with our Dahme Pant. Crafted from a heavier weight French linen for cooler weather, the flattering silhouette drapes comfortably across many different body types, with a slightly cropped length and flat front, as well as functional side pockets. For a truly bold look, pair with the matching Dahme Jacket, or for an edgy, everyday look consider styling with a neutral T-shirt or fitted top and finish with a sneaker.
100% French Linen
This garment has been made from 100% French Linen; natural fibre from flax grown in the light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear. Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides, or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibers, such as conventionally grown cotton.
This garment was designed by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making woven and knitted apparel. He has a team of 80 plus workers, the majority of which are women. The factory is signed up to Sedex and undertakes regular SMETA audits. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements and operate an ethical and sustainable business. We visit Jimmy at least twice a year and he visits our team in Melbourne annually.
Size and Fit
These pants have a great, wide-leg fit with a neater fitting waist featuring a flat front and elastic at the back for comfort, while the cuffless legs allow for easy alteration if required. We recommend taking your usual size to ensure they can pull easily over the hips, which you can then adjust using the internal waist tie.
The Odel Jean is a fresh update on Elk's best-selling Oslo Jean - with the same mid-rise fit and a flattering, wide-leg silhouette. The coated finish is one of Elk's most popular fabrications, with a length designed to sit just above the ankle, this style is crafted by Saitex, one of our preferred makers. These jeans look great with a top tucked in or with a relaxed, layered silhouette.
